Our Piping&Layout department in Stavanger is now looking for a Piping Engineering Specialist to join our team .
What will you be doing?
- Operate as domain expert within Aker Solutions in order to provide high quality solutions on tenders and projects
- Translate customer requirements into high level solutions and specifications required within major tenders, studies and projects
- Develop, improve and optimize technical solutions in order to deliver and define best practice, as well as providing input to development of procedures, methods, specifications and standards
- Provide guidance, advice and training in order to develop resources and cross discipline knowledge
- Establish, develop and maintain specifications for piping (PCS) and valves (VDS)
- Establish specifications for piping special items
- Other relevant tasks based on project requirements
We think you should have:
- Bachelor- or master degree in materials- or mechanical science
- Significant knowledge and internally recognized expertise in a technology or key discipline of relevance to existing Aker Solutions deliverables
- Ability to provide guidance/advice at the most senior technical and nontechnical levels within client organizations and in national/international standardization committees
- Ability to recognize patterns of technical success and issues in order change the way different categories of problems are to be approached in the future
- Experience with- and knowledge of piping valves and piping specification sheets
- Knowledge of relevant standards and specifications used in the North sea
- Good understanding of ASME B31.3
- Experienced in use of EN 13480, Pressure Equipment Directive and knowledge of EN 13445
- General knowledge within computer technology
- A commercial mindset, good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
