Engineering & Technology in Aker Solutions is one of the world's leading offshore technology organizations with a staff of more than 750 employees. The multi-discipline organization covers project management and all technical and administrative functions needed to execute project management and engineering tasks for the oil and gas industry - both onshore and offshore.
Engineering & Technology Department in Aker Solutions has experience from execution of major projects world-wide with development of oil and gas installations ranging from large complex installations in the deep, hostile North Sea and arctic climate, to facilities for small and marginal fields in shallow waters.
The Piping, Layout & Architect Department consist today of 75 highly skilled architects, engineers and designers. We perform detail design and layouts of new offshore installations and land based process plants. This includes activities like equipment layout, LQ layout and ergonomics, stress analysis of critical piping, pipe support activities, detailed specification of piping components and valves, material and weight take off, material handling activities and site operations support for our ongoing projects worldwide. In addition the Piping, Layout & Architect Department are involved in concept studies and early phase layout studies.

Responsibilities and tasks

• Perform 3D model piping design including e.g. equipment, laydown areas and access and transport routes
• Prepare cost effective solutions including high functionality for operability and maintenance
• Perform multidisciplinary coordination of design activities
• Produce drawings required for fabrication and installation

Qualifications & personal attributes
• Higher education degree in relevant technical discipline. Graduating students are also welcome to apply.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Willingness to learn and to develop in a highly dedicated group of specialists.
• Team working skills with the ability to work in an international environment.
• Well developed communications skills with working fluency in English.
