Brief Description

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Piping Designer on a contract or staff basis located at our John Wood Group House in Altens, Aberdeen. The successful candidate will provide Piping Design Expertise on the Talisman Project reporting to the Lead Piping Engineer

Detailed Description

• Execute design and draughting activities within the repair orders group.

• Prepare Piping drawings and design deliverables to the required technical quality with minimum input from engineering personnel.

• Carry out checking of piping deliverables in accordance with WGPSN procedures.

• Ensure that designs comply with the relevant Standards and procedures.

• Provide technical assistance to discipline assigned personnel as required.

• Ensure, as far as is practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with the agreed budget and schedule.

• Keep up-to-date with technical developments, National and International standards and legislative requirements related to the discipline scope.

• Prepare DO estimates and schedules and assist in their review.

• Maintain working relationship with Talisman group construction department

• Maintain good communication with the Client.

• Assist the Piping Discipline Engineers and others when requested in the execution of their responsibilities and duties.

• Be familiar with the company HSE Operating System and Policy.

• Well conversant with 2D drafting tools such as Microstation and Autocad.

• Assisting with the preparation of workpacks

Job Requirements

• Fully conversant with UK regulatory environment, and standard offshore international and national industry standards and specifications.

• Commitment to core values.

• Previous experience of checking piping deliverables

• Microstation & Autocad experience.

• PDMS experience an advantage

• Offshore experience preferable

• Well conversant with drafting tools such as Microstation and Autocad
