Role

Participate in the design, modification and construction of the piping project requirements for offshore oil & gas facilities:

• prepare finished drawings, diagrams and schedules from given information such as sketches, marked up prints etc
• ensure security of CAD files and avoidance of misfiles or corruption of data
• ensure compliance with CAD procedures
• prepare layouts, designs, working sketches and technical descriptions, studies from which final design drawings may be made
• assist with offshore surveys and reports, as required
• participate in the ECITB Modern Apprenticeship Scheme including a SVQ in Design and Drafting
• ensure that all work complies with Contract and Petrofac health, safety, environmental and quality policies and procedures; project specific SHE and quality plans; and agreed interfacing requirements with sub-contractors as appropriate

Requirements

• computer literate in Microsoft packages and familiarity with CAD software systems
• good analytical skills and ability to meet deadlines
• effective communication and organisational skills
• self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to work as a team member and communicate effectively with onshore and offshore staff at all levels
• HNC/HND in Engineering or a minimum of 3 standard grades (General/Credit level or equivalent) in Maths, English and a Science subject or Craft and Design
