Role
Participate in the design, modification and construction of the piping project requirements for offshore oil & gas facilities:
- prepare finished drawings, diagrams and schedules from given information such as sketches, marked up prints etc
- ensure security of CAD files and avoidance of misfiles or corruption of data
- ensure compliance with CAD procedures
- prepare layouts, designs, working sketches and technical descriptions, studies from which final design drawings may be made
- assist with offshore surveys and reports, as required
- participate in the ECITB Modern Apprenticeship Scheme including a SVQ in Design and Drafting
- ensure that all work complies with Contract and Petrofac health, safety, environmental and quality policies and procedures; project specific SHE and quality plans; and agreed interfacing requirements with sub-contractors as appropriate
Requirements
- computer literate in Microsoft packages and familiarity with CAD software systems
- good analytical skills and ability to meet deadlines
- effective communication and organisational skills
- self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to work as a team member and communicate effectively with onshore and offshore staff at all levels
- HNC/HND in Engineering or a minimum of 3 standard grades (General/Credit level or equivalent) in Maths, English and a Science subject or Craft and Design
