Job Description:
Responsibilities:

• Read, understand, and interpret P&ID used for power plant
• Prepare drawings for overall plant layout
• Understand valves that are commonly used for power plant
• Understand codes and standards commonly used for power plant
• Perform calculations like pipe wall thickness, opening reinforcement.
• Support and review Piping GA drawings, isometric drawings and pipe support drawings
• Select appropriate piping materials and specialties to meet project requirements
• Prepare PO for piping specialties and perform technical evaluation
• Prepare stress calculation for critical piping lines
• Support construction team to solve technical problems and propose practical solutions to achieve required outcome under constraint
• Coordinate and interface with other disciplines on engineering designs
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and designers for pipe support design
• Attend meetings with owner
• Any other duties to be assigned from time to time

Pre-requisites:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years’ of relevant work experience in EPC projects with specialization in power plants
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, engineering codes and standards
• Prior experience in leading a team of design engineers and designers is an added advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to details
• Ability to handle stress and be sensitive to deadlines
• Proactive and able to multi-task
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
