Job Description
  • Experience of piping design and analysis.
  • Production and review of detailed design drawings, layouts and P&IDs with experience of Plant 3D or similar.
  • Production and review of mechanical design calculations supporting stress analysis.
  • Producing documentation, assessment/condition reports, survey reports, basis of designs, procurement specifications, etc., tailored to the specific stage of project completion.
  • Carry out detailed surveys of installations to establish the extent, condition, and operational status of existing installations to complete reports, findings and recommendations.
  • Production and review of piping schedules.
  • Supporting the preparation of bids and estimates.
  • Ensure compliance with industry and construction (design and management) regulations.
  • Comfortable in working within a multidiscipline environment and communicating with project stakeholders
Candidate Specification

Ideally you will be working towards Chartered status and have a minimum of 5 years post graduate experience with experience working in the nuclear sector although candidates with other regulated industry experience will be considered. Candidates must be eligible to apply for and obtain security clearance.

The Energy Unit, specifically the Power, Process & Nuclear division are recruiting a Mechanical Engineer to be part of an integral team delivering projects in the nuclear industry. The role will be to work as part of a design team and to support Associates and/or other senior line managers.
