Senior Piping Designer - Sakhalin Island

Job Description: Brief Posting Description
We are currently sourcing a Senior Piping Designer to join our team in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The successful candidate will be required to undertake responsibility for self-checking of own technical content on engineering drawings prior to department review .
This position will report directly to Lead Piping Designer.
Detailed Description
To carry out piping studies.
To prepare Design Drawings from Engineering Data and Specifications in accordance with Project / Company / Client Standards and Procedures. These will include piping isometrics, pipe supports and minor mechanical details.
To do minor calculations.
To check Drawings and Documents.
To prepare Material Take Off.
To mentor nationals in PDMS operation and Piping Design.
To carry out document searches via Live Link and Documentum .
To perform layout and design work from the basic data supplied.
Ensure job tasks are correctly performed, with no impact on cost or schedule.
Offshore and Onshore survey trips are required.
Proficient in PDMS and AutoCAD, microstation would be a benefit.
Conversant with International Piping Codes and Standards.
Job Requirements
The candidate will have a minimum of 10 experience of an engineering design environment in Petrochem / O&G industry.
Preferably strong experience of PDMS (must be proficient user as minimum requirement).
Proficient in MDS a bonus.
Proficient user of PDS and AutoCAD.
Ability to check piping deliverables in a 2-D and 3-D environment.
Drilling Facilities experience advantageous.
HNC / NVQ in discipline preferred
Formal training in AutoCAD and PDMS (preferable) or PDS.
