PIPING / PDMS -APPLICATION ENGINEER - Malaysia

A multinational company that develops manufactures and sells multidiscipline support solutions, cable tray and cable ladders to the following industries world-wide: Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, Ships building, Wind Power, Water Treatment and Clean Room industries. These solutions deliver added value through reduced installation time, maximized volume utilization, weight reductions, enhanced life time integrity and improved safety performance. The job title to be recruited is Application Engineer – Piping / PDMS to be based at Selangor in Malaysia.
This is a newly created position and reports to the Project Engineer. This is a unique position as the roles and responsibilities are framed as a hybrid attracting both technical and commercial competencies. This person is accountable and responsible for providing technical expertise and customer support pertaining to value added technologies and solutions.
The right person should possess at least a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent educational background. The right person comes with minimum 5 years working experience in an oil and gas company and familiar with EPC work process. This person should have knowledge of engineering and design phases from conceptual design to construction. The right person must have good knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, API, ANSI, etc) and able to read, interpret, analyze PDMS and MDS.
