Role Overview
The Wheatstone LNG (WSLNG) Project is a 2 Train Liquefied Natural Gas Facility that will be constructed near Onslow in Western Australia. The project is employing a modular approach to its execution which includes the assembly of large, complex and heavy Process Modules as well as simple and relatively light Yard Rack Modules. Some of the modules will be assembled at the Kencana fabrication yard in Lumut, Malaysia by an integrated team of Bechtel, Kencana and Chevron staff. The work will be 100% subcontracted. Applicants for this construction position shall have heavy industrial (CM) module construction experience commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken and the requirements identified below. A successful candidate will be assigned to the project team as a representative of the Construction functional group. This individual will ensure that construction requirements are made known to the project team in a timely manner and will obtain construction responses to the needs of other members of the project team. The employee must be able to perform duties under minimal direction by management and develop and apply construction procedures, which may be unique and innovative in nature, to resolve complex and difficult problems which may arise. This individual will support the execution planning for the module packages. Responsibilities will include evaluating and oversight of the module subcontractor’s scope of work and associated lower tier subcontracts, input to and support of the project schedule development, prepare reports and forecasts for as required. Position will be located in the Houston office during the project early activities and ultimately transfer to the module yard in Malaysia. Superintendent Piping has construction management duties for a number of module assembly operational requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: - Foster and promote safety as a core value in all works which includes participating, holding and attending daily and weekly safety meetings. Ensure safety toolbox is incorporated into daily prestart. Attend safety walks with HSE leads and Area Superintendents. - Coordinate with Subcontractors and Discipline Superintendents to validate manpower requirements. - Review weekly scheduled work plans for a specific area and validate adequate amount of work is scheduled/performed and actualized in accordance to plan. - Ensure that scheduling concerns and constraints are highlighted and escalated to module yard construction management team. - Hold/attend weekly production meetings with subcontractor to validate provided input and ensure progress is on target by area of discipline. - Supervise and coordinate daily with subcontract representatives on construction activities, within assigned disciplines and area of scope. Included but not limited to fabrication team, assembly team, heavy lift team, heavy haul/transport team, AQIS and materials management team. - Responsible for ensuring the modules in assigned area are maintain according to the project house keeping and AQIS standards. Ensure validation of AQIS records and check sheets as per sub contract procedures. - Prepare weekly/monthly reports and job manpower forecasts as required. - Participates in constructability reviews of the 3-D model. - Participates in development of constructability log issues/ideas. - Works with the Subcontractor, Engineering, Procurement and Construction to assist in developing work package deliverables to support module fabrication. - Review subcontractor proposals and documentation to ensure subcontractor is operating within the contractual procedures. - Knowledge of the subcontractors responsibilities contained in subcontract documents. - Interface with Design and Field Engineering teams as required - Ensure current revision documents are utilized for installation. - Responsible for the implementation of corporate/project policies, procedures and instructions within assigned operation position of Piping Superintendent. - Coordinate activities with subcontractors and clients' resident representative as instructed by module yard construction management team. - Perform on boarding requirements and 6-12 week feed back evaluations on subordinate personnel. - Ensure that sub ordinate members have read and preformed Bechtel University courses relevant to Bechtel Standard Work Process Procedures (SWPP) by required discipline. - Ensure that all Bechtel, State and Federal safety codes, requirements, and standards are being complied within assigned area of responsibility. - Experience in Modular project execution and fabrication, pipe spool fabrication, shop steel fabrication, shop supervision and construction management processes are essential. - Position will start in module yard in Lumut, Malaysia.

Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress).
