We are currently looking for Piping Designers to join a project in our Norway offices to work on the early stages of a pre FEED, offshore FLNG project.
Core Responsibilities:
The candidate will be a Piping Engineer with a proven track record in either the onshore or offshore hydrocarbon sector, able to deliver Concept, FEED and EPC projects. The individual will be able to perform all stages of project delivery and be able to effectively manage a project engineering team.
To undertake Piping engineering design work in with true regard to Safety both in design detail and engineering design execution
To carry out design work in compliance with the national, state and client asset Codes & Standards.
To engineer all design work in line with the QA manual and WorleyParsons procedures.
To be innovative in design work with due regard to minimisation of cost whilst maintaining technical integrity
To undertake all work within the estimated man hour budget and within schedule
To assist in the recruitment and development of Engineers, designers and technicians
To keep all project documentation in a state of readiness for Audit purposes
Specific Accountabilities:
To provide definition of the Piping engineering work in the Project, design approach or criteria by skill and experience as directed by the Chief Engineer / Technical Manager
To clearly understand the Codes and Standards applicable to the work carried out and raise deviations where necessary
Estimate man-hours for any job using the current man-hour norms and prepare relevant CTRs
Responsible for maintaining work progress (budget, schedule) and raising change documentation where necessary.
Supervision of technical detail, budget and schedule of engineering design in Project.
Liaison with client, vendors and 3rd parties in a professional manner
To plan man-hour budgets and schedules for all Projects within the focal point area of responsibility.
Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Project.
Safety – Responsible for the implementation of Company Safety policies
Job Requirements
Experience in Oil & Gas Conceptual, FEED and EPC Design Projects.
Proven track record within engineering design.
Excellent technical communication and coordination skills.
Abilility to learn and develop leadership skills
