PIPING STRESS ENGINEER ON CONTRACT BASIS

NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the oil & gas Industry. Our client, a leading EPC company has an opportunity for Piping Stress Engineer to assist with ongoing Oil Sands projects. This is a 12 month renewable contract based in Calgary, Alberta.

QUALIFICATION:

*  Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering and APEGA registration.  Thorough knowledge of pipe stress fundamentals is required.

EXPERIENCE:

*  Minimum 10 years in pipe and pipeline stress analysis, on piping related to Oil Sands and/or HYDROCARBON PROJECTS. EXPERIENCE IN EPCM COMPANY IS PREFERRED.

* CONVERSANT WITH ALL ASPECTS OF PIPING design and piping engineering.

SOFT SKILLS:

Ability to work from first principles through to working out solutions. Excellent communication and presentation skills as client interaction at a senior level is required for this role.
