Position Summary:
The primary function of a Senior Piping Designer is development of piping and equipment layouts in a 2D and 3D CADD environment and drafting of 2D drawings.
Core Responsibilities:
- Developing piping and equipment layout and design for complex systems and areas, using 2D and 3D CADD software.
- Design studies, and piping layouts.
- Ensuring conformity with project scope, specifications, standards, drawing and other documents.
- Reviewing vendor and in-house coordination drawings to ensure their compliance with related project requirements.
- Assisting other levels of drafting personnel
- Preparing Bills of Material.
- Assuming all or part of Checker’s responsibilities and duties when assigned.
- Visiting construction sites and fabrication shops as required.
Qualifications:
- College diploma or equivalent.
- Computer literacy in corporate CADD software PDS, Autocadd, Autoplant, SP3D and Microstation.
- Minimum of 7 years experience preferably in Oil and Gas, SAGD
- This position would be based in Calgary
