Job Description:

• Accurate production of 3D equipment and piping models and extraction and annotation of piping drawings from the model, within budgeted hours and schedule.
• Accurate production of 2D design drawings within budgeted hours and schedule.
• Management of time and progress.
• Maintain project files and data in accordance with project procedures.
• Demonstrate understanding and application of industry and project standards and specifications.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the CSG, etc
• Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the CSG, etc. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
• Check work produced by Piping Designers as directed by the Lead Designer.

Job Requirements:

• Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute/university.
• Piping background of minimum 12 years drafting and design experience, including a multidiscipline project environment.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in the use of PDMS and PDS.
• Ability to interpret P&ID's to develop detail designs.
• Knowledge of the codes and standards and a good understanding of (onshore or offshore)engineering practices applicable to facility layout and piping design for oil and gas facilities.
• Experience in design and modelling of equipment, piping and supports for refinery petrochemicals and chemical plant.
• Familiar with international and national design codes for piping materials and design.
• Thorough knowledge of the health, safety and environmental issues relating to facility layout.
• Ability to work in a team environment with the minimal supervision of a Lead Designer.
• Ability to communicate with clients and sub consultants.
• Ability to communicate effectively within own and other disciplines.
• Self-motivated with positive attitude.
