Because of unprecedented opportunities in our Mining, Minerals & Metals and Energy & Chemicals departments we are seeking enthusiastic Lead / Principal / Senior and Junior Mechanical and Piping Engineers to join our dynamic team of high achievers at our Mackay, Gladstone, Brisbane and Melbourne offices. This is a fantastic opportunity to further your knowledge across a variety of Mining and Energy & Chemicals based projects whilst working in a successful, high performing team.

Reporting into our Department Manager Mechanical Pipelines and Piping, your core responsibility will be to provide lead a team providing engineering services and technical support to Worley and its customers.

Responsibilities include

Deliver mechanical and piping engineering services that meet Worley, its customers and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget;
Assessment for Fitness for Service & repair strategies relating to Equipment / Piping;

Skills & Experience

As this role involves interfacing with our client at various levels, the suitable candidate will need to be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    To be successful in this position, it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

    • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) & eligible for membership with MIEAust; CPEng, 
    • RPEQ is strongly preferred for Queensland applicants and desired for Melbourne
    • Minimum 5-10 years’ engineering experience in Mining or Oil & Gas, Refining or Chemicals; 
    • Extensive experience in Mining Materials Handling, Non-Process Infrastructure, Mining Process Plant, MMM and E&C Piping Engineering & Static Equipment Calculations;
    • Experience in Pre-Feasibility, Feasibility and Detailed Design Materials Handling Process plant, E&C Static Equipment Design. 
    • Rotating Equipment experience is desirable;
    • Effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers;
    • A good working knowledge of the fundamental requirements of mechanical and piping engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields;
    • A good working knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory specifications;
    • Superior written & verbal English Skills;
    • Ability to work under minimal supervision whilst maintaining the ability to deliver assigned projects on budget and on time;
