Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities
Amec Foster Wheeler & BBS Ltd, A Ghanaian JV between Amec Foster Wheeler and BBS Engineering Ltd an indigenous Ghanaian company have been contracted to provide PROJECT MANAGEMENT, ENGINEERING SUPPORT SERVICES (PMESS) to ENI E&P Ghana Ltd. The required services shall cover Offshore Deep-water Oil & Gas Development Projects and Onshore Oil & Gas Development Projects. The contract is for 4-years, starting in December 2015.
 The project includes all the facilities and wells necessary to allow the production of oil reserves of both Cenomanian and Campanian reservoirs and for the exploitation of the gas reserves of Sankofa, Sankofa East and Gye Nyame fields (Campanian level) all offshore Western Ghana. This development project foresees a subsea production system with 8 oil producers, 3 Water Injectors and 3 Gas Injectors and 5 gas producers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible to produce and manage deliverables on behalf of the Client and to supervise and manage all piping works undertaken and executed by the Contractor / subcontractors.
  • Responsible to produce and manage deliverables on behalf of the Client and to supervise and manage all mechanical works associated with rotating equipment / machinery, undertaken and executed by the Contractor / subcontractors.

Skills / Qualifications
  • B.S. or equivalent Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of seven (7) years relevant experience in oil & gas industry.
  • Must have extensive experience in piping design and engineering; familiarity in piping materials applications and thorough knowledge of stress engineering.
  • Must have extensive expertise in design, specification and selection of rotating equipment for the oil and gas projects of comparable complexity and value. Shall demonstrate a thorough knowledge of design aspects including rotor dynamics, compressor thermodynamics, gas turbine power rating, compressor seal systems and relevant auxiliary systems.
  • Should be fully knowledgeable about codes, standards and recommended practices for this area of expertise.
  • Should be knowledgeable about inspection and test reports and related documentation required by the project.
