As the demand for our expertise continues to grow, an opportunity has arisen for Senior PDMS Piping Designers  to support a number of projects within our Clean Energy Business Teams at our Knutsford and Birchwood Offices.
Duties will include working on multiple projects reporting to the Lead Piping Designer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that designs comply with relevant standards and procedures.
  • Ensuring as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with budget and schedule
  • Encourage and provide lateral learning within assigned projects.
  • Ability to perform multi discipline modelling and pipe design, including supports, from concept through to detail design phase. This will include the drafting and production of isometrics and other associated drawings.
  • Able to liaise with site and develop close working relationships with clients. 

Knowledge/Experience Required :

  • Solid background in piping design and layout
  • Design/ preparation of associated isometrics
    DRAFT experience
  • Material take offs and reports as required
  • Use of 2D autocad would be an advantage
  • Candidate must be self motivated and capable of working with minimum supervision to an agreed schedule
  • Flexible approach to working on multiple projects
  • Good communication skills
  • Clash management
  • HNC / HND equivalent in Mechanical engineering
