LEAD DESIGN ENGINEER (PIPING)–CCEL ABU DHABI

CHIYODA CCC LEAD PIPING DESIGN ENGINEER - UAE

The jobholder will be responsible for leading and supervising the work of the project piping team and may be required to work on more than one project at a time, in which case the jobholder shall report to the Piping Section Head.

Successful candidate will lead, supervise and guide piping-specific teams in the preparation and co-ordination of design and/or detail drawings ensuring deadlines are met and that work is completed to the required quality standards. He/She will program, plan and co-ordinate all project activities including the provision of design and technical information, ensuring accuracy, completeness and delivery within schedule and allocated manpower budget.

The successful candidate must have:

· BSc. or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.

· Minimum 12 years’ experience in the engineering field of which preferably 8 shall be in Oil & Gas contracting.

· Has worked as an assistant lead engineer /area lead engineer for at least three projects.

· Hands on experience in developing plot plan, equipment layout & piping study layout for rack, columns, heat exchangers, compressors, reactors, fired heater,  pumps etc.

· Has an excellent knowledge in various international design codes related with piping design like ASME, API, NFPA etc.

· Must be familiar with piping material specifications in accordance with various material standards like ASTM, DIN   etc.

· Basic knowledge of pipe stress analysis & pipe support. Hands on experience in CAESAR II or equivalent software would be an advantage.

· Shall have clear understanding of work flow in 3D (SP3D/PDS/PDMS) work environment. Experience in executing job in 3D is essential.

· Strong proven communication, negotiations, influencing and presentation skills.
