Job Description:

Senior Level Pipe Mechanical Engineer to be assigned to the new KBR Office in Chennai, India.


KBR is hiring individuals to lead the engineering and procurement efforts for our new office to be located in Chennai, India.  Successful candidates will initially train in KBR’s Houston or London office for a period of three to six months after which they will return to the Chennai office and provide hands on leadership for the work that will be performed from that office.
Candidates should have demonstrated capabilities in managing personnel, the hiring of staff and a good understanding of financial budgets.  As the Chennai office grows in workload, candidates will be considered for promotion to the position of Department Manager for their respective group based on their initial performance.  Prior experience with an engineering contractor is required.
Qualifications, Skills Requirements & Experience Level:
*  This position is responsible for performing stress analysis of piping systems using Caesar II in accordance with ASME, ANSI B31.3 code requirements
*  Candidate shall demonstrated experience in the use of the Caesar II software program, including
specific application of static and dynamic analysis for seismic load conditions for the analysis of complex piping systems in hot and cold service in chemical plants and refineries.
*  The ability to use engineering judgment and experience to enable early designs to progress efficiently through later stages of design development is essential.
*  Bachelor degree in Engineering and related work experience in the field of pipe/pipe stress design/analysis.
