We now require Piping Layout Engineers with SP3D experience in our office at Sharjah, UAE, for providing expertise on our various onshore and offshore Oil & Gas projects.  Working with a multidisciplinary team of Engineers in an internationally renowned consultancy environment providing professional design services to our clients, this offers a great opportunity for Engineers to gain valuable experience and exposure in design and detailing of onshore and offshore facilities.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conceptual, FEED and Detailed Engineering of Piping for Oil & Gas projects.
  • Responsible for preparation of facilities layouts / GA plans, and all associated deliverables such as plot plans, piping study drawings, piping layouts, isometrics, pipe supports, MTO etc.
  • Provide guidance for all SP3D project administrators and be the responsible point of contact in Piping.
  • Co-ordination with Materials, Stress Analysis, SP3D design groups and Mechanical groups.
  • Review, comment, approval of Vendor drawings and documents.
  • Incorporation of Vendor data/inputs in Engineering.
  • Review / approval of construction related deliverables submitted by Contractor.
  • Co-ordination with other disciplines / departments as required for interfaces overlaps etc.
  • Co-ordination with Piping counterparts in Client/Contractor organizations
  • Site visits and data collection from Client’s offices / plants
  • Attend meetings with Clients/ Contractors/ Vendors
  • Implementation of QA/QC procedures as required by Company and Client standards.
  • Manhour estimation for engineering enquiries
  • Piping progress and manhour monitoring for ongoing projects
  • Processing of technical deviation requests by Vendors or Contractors.

Core Requirements:

  • Candidate should be a first class Engineering Graduate in Mechanical discipline.
  • Should have 10 years experience in performing basic and detailed engineering for Oil & Gas projects.
  • Shall be well conversant with Smart Plant 3D (SP 3D) Modeling and have good working knowledge.
  • Shall be well conversant with ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4 & B31.8.
  • Must be fully knowledgeable about National & International codes and standards like ASTM, API, BS, MSS SP, NACE for this discipline
  • Shall have experience in Design Review, HAZID, Constructability Review.
  • Knowledge of company standards like ARAMCO, SHELL DEP would be added advantage.
  • Preparation of Piping Specification, technical specification for piping items, MTO etc would be added advantage.
  • Good reporting skills.
