Job description

Job purpose:

Is responsible for all engineering activities in one bulk discipline for specific projects in accordance with contractual requirements (design, budgeted hours, schedule etc.) by leading a team of Engineers/ Designers and by coordinating with other departments and external agencies.

Job scope (budget, management, specific criteria): dimensions of the job

Dedicated to one project.

-Management of 5 to 40 people.

-Piping discipline: Management of 10 to 100+ people.

-Possibly management of a multicenter execution.

Profile:

Must have:

- Engineering Degree with 10+ years of experience in design and execution of projects in onshore or offshore facilities.

Nice to have:

-Experience or familiarity with all technical aspects of the engineering discipline.

Main accountabilities:


  • Is responsible for schedule, quality, all contractual requirements and execution plan.
  • Is responsible for Planning of manpower and work distribution within group on regular basis.
  • Supervises engineering activities.
  • Manages and controls man/hours and material quantities.
  • Is responsible for proposing cost effective solutions.
  • Coordinates with Lead Engineers of other departments and project support functions such as procurement and planning.
  • Ensures that the discipline engineering deliverables are compliant with project QHSE plan and Technip & discipline engineering processes & standards.
  • Works towards development and training of subordinates.
  • Provides assistance to Discipline Department Manager in various departmental activities.
  • Contributes to project close out and lessons learned.
