SENIOR PIPE SUPPORT DESIGNER - OFFSHORE
NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the oil & gas Industry. Our client, a leading EPC company has an opportunity for a Structural Engineer to assist with the construction of an ongoing offshore platform project. This is a 12 month renewable contract based in St. John's, Newfoundland.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
* Piping Design and development of Pipe Supports and Input to PDMS (Piping, equipment and pipe supports).
* Design/preparation of associated Isometrics drawings and PGA's.
* Preparation of Pipe Support 3D Model.
* Preparation of schedules and lists (Valve Schedules, Pipe supports, Special Piping Items, Tie -ins, etc).
* Material Take Offs and Reports as required.
* Prepare/Design Piping Layouts, Equipment Layouts, studies and line shoots as required.
* Preparation and design of gathering system alignment sheets.
* Draughting of P&ID's.
* Input/assistance to Piping Lead Engineer in the preparation of estimates and proposals.
* Coordination as required with other disciplines.
* Input to relevant HSE / Safety reviews & Model Reviews.
* Carry out site surveys and produce site visit reports.
* Assemble and collate Construction Work Packs.
* Other work as required/directed by the Piping Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
* PDMS-MDS experience is essential
* Oil & Gas experience
* Offshore project experience
