Responsibilities
,
- To participate in the design and specification of certain piping systems of the
Company's products and to produce detailed drawings of agreed piping designs.
- To lead groups of designers and draftsmen on specific projects
- To use computer aided design (CAD) facilities for the production of detailed and general
arrangement drawings.
- To produce provisional, experimental and concept drawings and sketches for the
assistance of engineers.
- To write specifications for simple piping systems and equipment related to the
Company's products.
- To write procedures specifying actions to be taken for any unusual/special removal,
maintenance and overhaul of piping systems and equipment which he has designed.
- To identify any unusual or specific features which affect the safe and efficient
installation, operation and maintenance of piping systems and equipment which he has
designed.
- To calculate and determine bolt sizes/tension/torque when required.
- To calculate basic flow rates, dimensions, centres of gravity and general sizing factors.
- To follow all relevant Sls and Departmental Working Instructions in the design and
drawing of piping systems and equipment.
- To check internal drawings, specifications and manuals related to piping systems and
equipment.
- To attend training courses, seminars etc. when required.
- Other supporting tasks as assigned and deemed reasonable
Qualifications
- Possess at least a Certificate / Diploma in Engineering / Drafting
- 10 Years minimum experience in oil and gas industry
- Sound knowledge of Piping Design Systems
- PDMS Experience is preferable
- Experience in a multinational environment/FPSO is an added advantage.
- Self-motivated with strong Analytical, Planning, Reporting and Organizational skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines at all times.
- Attentive to details and self-motivated with ability to work independently
- Possess initiative with good interpersonal skills
- Possess good command of English both written and spoken
