Description:

Roles & Responsibility:

Carry out assigned piping design activities within the team.
Supervise and assist designers and trainee as required with their tasks and usage of drafting softwares, e.g. ACAD, PDMS etc
Manage assigned work to meet project needs. Proactively work with other team members to ensure project goals are met.
Ensure technical integrity of work, consistency of work quality and that all work is carried out in accordance with applicable codes and standards, procedures and the basis of design.
Ensure all interfaces (inter-discipline, client, implementation, fabrication, vendor, etc) are identified and managed in the execution of all projects.
Work proactively with the team to resolve issues. Work with Lead Piping Designer to resolve the issue.
Ensure all the work is properly self-checked by designer, draft person and himself.

Carry out all the materials take offs (MTO)/Materials specification/SAP number allocation/SAP Input. Ensure all quality check records are maintained. Assist in preparing all material requisitions, TBE, Vendor drawing review.

Assist in resolving all fabrication related technical queries.
Scope studies of plot plan and piping layout in preparation of any assigned “FEED” packages.
Able to perform site check activities prior to assigned project specific, and also to guide designers and trainees on site checks activities.
Able to adopt and practice piping design concept to client’s engineering practices prior to project specific.

Able to prepare manhour estimates, planning and schedule for design and drafting activity in assistance to Lead piping Designer.
