Senior Piping Stress Engineer

Location:    Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Requirements

REPORTING LINES AND INTERACTIONS:

Hierarchically reports to : Piping Stress Head

Operationally reports to : Project Lead Piping Engineer/ Project Lead Stress Engineer

Directly supervises        : Project Junior Pipe Stress Engineers

Key interactions (internally, externally):

Externally                      : Client

TYPICAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Must have                     :

Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Minimum 10 years experience in Piping Engineering with 8 years in  Pipe Stress Analysis in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical field (especially EPC project experience).

Knowledge of preparation of Pipe Stress Specification, Critical Line List and Stress

Analysis Calculation Notes.

Well versed in CAESAR II pipe stress analysis software.

Able to design, select and recommend various types of pipe supports - including

preparation of specifications and conduct technical bid evaluations of spring supports,

rigid struts and sliding plates.

Experience in use of major Operating Company's specifications and standards.

Nice to have                  :

Experience in analysis of FPSO piping will be preferred.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

Providing technical duties, accessing the scope of the studies required and potential risks.
Reviewing the technical documents during the bid phase; overseeing the bid evaluation and procurements phases.
Preparing the design basis for the pipeline design interface with the relative process, structures and installation.
Managing all stress analysis issues on Topside Piping Layout
Managing PDMS Modeling work carried out by subcontractors.
